A sweet treat that kiddos love to cook and eat
Lentils for dessert? Count us in! Sous Chef Brittley Barrett will share her recipe for Mexican Chocolate Lentil Molten Cakes during her cooking demo at 2 p.m., on the Cooking Demo Stage, Saturday, Aug. 19 at the National Lentil Festival.
Brittley's cooking demo will focus on cooking with kids, and her recipes are simple, delicious and kid-approved. Her 45-minute demo will include cooking tips, samples and a Q&A session with the audience. All cooking demos are free and open to the public.
The lineup for PNW Co-op's Cooking Demo Stage is:
Noon: Executive Chef Jamie Callison of Washington State University's School of Hospitality and Business Management and author of "The Crimson Spoon: Plating Regional Cuisine on the Palouse."
1 p.m.: Chef Robin Leventhal, instructor at the Wine Country Culinary Institute in Walla Walla, WA, and cheftestant on Bravo TV's "Top Chef."
2 p.m.: Sous Chef Brittley Barrett, Washington State University
